(D) Performance of the Investment till now
Kotak Multicap Fund is an absolutely newly Launched fund. It is launched in September 2021. Due to Market Fluctuation and Macro Global effects stocks steeply corrected, which resulted in negative performance.
Even, the investor who is looking to invest in the fund for a longer perspective, should not be afraid of these falls because the fund has not even passed 1 Year.
So, past performance cannot be considered for evaluating future prospects.

(i) Top 10 Holdings
Kotak Multicap Fund has total 63 Stocks. whereas, Top 10 Stocks are constituting about 31.14% of the total fund.
(ii) Sector Allocation vis-à-vis Category
Kotak Multicap Fund is heavy weightage of Financial Services and Automobile. Whereas, Consumer Discretionary and Metal & Mining are constituting very less proportion of asset allocation.
Further, 92.8% of the Asset allocated in equities, 1.3% in debt and Cash & Cash Equivalent have an allocation of 6%.

(I) Fund Managers : Mr Abhishek Bisen
Mr. Abhishek Bisen is the Fund Manager of Kotak Multicap fund. He is managing this fund since 8th Sep 2021.
Additionally, he is BA and MBA in Finance. Prior to joining Kotak AMC, he was working with Securities Trading Corporation Of India Ltd where he was looking at Sales & Trading of Fixed Income Products apart from doing Portfolio Advisory.
Even his earlier assignments also include 2 years of merchant banking experience with a leading merchant banking firm.
(G) Taxability of earnings
- If the mutual fund units are sold after 1 year from the date of investment, gains upto Rs 1 lakh in a financial year are exempt from tax. Gains over Rs 1 lakh are taxed at the rate of 10%.
- If the mutual fund units are sold within 1 year from the date of investment, entire amount of gain is taxed at the rate of 15%.
- No tax is to be paid as long as you continue to hold the units.
- Dividends are added to the income of the investors and taxed according to their respective tax slabs. Further, if an investor’s dividend income exceeds Rs. 5,000 in a financial year, the fund house also deducts a TDS of 10% before distributing the dividend.
